menzies law - specialist employment lawyers

We believe in corporate social responsibility and the concept that every business has its part to play in society.

equality
We are committed to ensuring equality of treatment and opportunity for all, including our clients and third parties with whom we deal.

environment
We firmly believe that everyone should do more to safeguard the world in which we live. Wherever possible or viable we:

  • only print an electronic document if we really need to
  • recycle every item possible, including all paper, card, plastics and printer cartridges
  • seek to avoid creating waste in the first place
  • buy electronic equipment with an energy saving mode
  • print on 100% recycled paper
  • use public transport and keep our carbon footprint as small as we can

Did you know that the carbon footprint of sending just one letter (200g) is equivalent to the carbon footprint of sending 50 emails?  One very effective approach in reducing both our carbon footprint and our costs is our policy of sending out all letters, invoices and other documents only by email (unless our clients specifically request a paper version or it is necessary for some other reason).

social contribution
The practice donates a percentage of its annual profit to Oxfam and the NSPCC.

Our Director, Luke Menzies, is the trustee of a charity and during his career has given his time (including legal and business advice) on a voluntary basis to a number of educational establishments and local community projects.

windmill hill city farm logoWe provide free employment law advice to Windmill Hill City Farm, a very worthwhile local charity. Windmill Hill City Farm is an independent community project situated half a mile south of Bristol city centre. Its aim is to meet the needs of local people through a wide range of social, environmental, educational, recreational and economic activities.
