ACAS guidance: Rugby world cup and recruitment & induction

Rugby World Cup (18 September to 31 October 2015): ACAS has published new guidance, available here, on time off and performance-related issues for employers over the Rugby World Cup period. ACAS advises employers to have agreements in place that cover requests for time off, sickness absence and website use during working hours and to be fair and consistent in their actions.

Recruitment and Induction: ACAS has published two new guides, available here, to help employers recruit and settle in staff. The recruitment guide includes what essential documents are needed when recruiting, how to advertise a position and considerations when choosing the right candidate. The induction guide includes induction checklists and gives specific advice around recruiting young people, including school, college and university leavers.
