It’s August and holiday season for all, including Parliament, which is currently on its long summer break.  The summer slowdown has definitely affected the legislative pace and as a result this Newsletter is a little shorter than usual; probably a relief to those of you who are also off on their holidays and would prefer a different subject for beach-time reading! For those of you who are still reading…we update you on the latest Government news on Tribunal fees and Employee Shareholders.  Unusually, we also have some data protection news on subject access requests.  For our case update we cover the latest chapter on collective consultation requirements, confirm that sick employees do not have the automatic right to carry over leave beyond the statutory four week minimum and have a look at how thorough investigations need to be when dealing with alleged dishonest employees.
