What do we already know?

In our April Newsflash Tribunal fees – decision coming… we updated you that UNISON had permission to appeal against the High Court’s rejection of its first and second challenge to Tribunal fees and that these would be heard together by the Court of Appeal in mid-June 2015.

What’s new?

UNISON’s appeal against Tribunal fees was heard by the Court of Appeal on 16 and 17 June 2015. UNISON argued that there was no other alternative obvious explanation for the “dramatic drop” in claims than the introduction of fees.

No judgment was given at the end of the hearing and it was suggested that it may take some time to issue a decision given the “interesting and difficult” points that had been raised. Watch this space for further developments…
