Government reforms (2): Family friendly – more free childcare

The Childcare Bill 2015-16 had its first reading in the House of Lords on 2 June 2015. The Bill will increase the current entitlement to free childcare from 15 to 30 hours per week (for 38 weeks of each year). However, in order to be eligible, both parents should be in work as this is part of the Government’s policy to make childcare more affordable for working parents.
