We reminded you in our January 2020 Newsletter Government reforms: New year, New law! of the changes due to the IR35 rules on 6 April 2020 for medium and large businesses in the private sector.
For more information on the IR35 reforms in the private and charity sectors see our Blogs here.
The planned reforms to the IR35 rules for the private sector have been delayed by one year until April 2021.
This delay follows growing calls from businesses and business leaders in light of the uncertainty caused by coronavirus. This is likely a huge relief for many contractors and businesses. However, it is just a postponement and we would recommend using the extra time to prepare for the changes.
