We are offering Consultant positions in our well-established, Bristol-based specialist employment law firm, where you can work when and where you like, for whom you like, and take home a vast amount more from your fees than you will as an employee or partner of a traditional law firm.

Practice areas

We are interested to hear from lawyers specialising in employment law and other fields which complement employment law, such as pensions & benefits, business immigration and data protection.   Such complementary practitioners could expect to find a rich seam of potential referral work within our firm’s core client base.


As a Consultant enjoying self-employed status, you would work under the same umbrella as our core specialist employment law team, enjoying many benefits from our well-established law firm structure and brand.

You would need to attract and service your own clients, but with the freedom to work as and when you wish, charging what you wish, with no billing targets and an absolute minimum of conditions governing how you practice.  Our highly experienced, entrepreneurial team would be there to support and guide you as you grow, in such ways as business development, marketing, PR and pricing.

As a Consultant you would take home 70-80% of your fee income.  In comparison, as a partner or associate in a traditional law firm, the very most you could expect to take would be 33%.  We would be happy to match or better the terms offered by any ‘virtual’ law firm.  We also believe that our specialist firm offers a friendlier and more appropriate home for a self-employed Consultant in employment law or associated practice areas than any ‘virtual’ firm, especially if you live in the South West or South Wales.
