Newsflash: Flexible working & shared parental leave – it’s a date!

Implementation dates have been confirmed for the right to request flexible working and the right to shared parental leave.

What do we already know?

In our Newsflash Flexible working delay we let you know that the introduction of flexible working for all was delayed from its planned April 2014 start date until later this year.

In our December 2013 Newsletter Government reforms (1): Shared parental leave we provided details on the right to shared parental leave, which proposes to allow both partners to take leave at the same time for babies due on or after 5 April 2015.

What’s new?

The Government has announced that the right to request flexible working will be extended to all employees from 30 June 2014.

The right to shared parental leave will apply from April 2015.
