What do we already know?
In our April 2015 Newsletter Government reforms (2): Tribunal claims – still going down we let you know that statistics showed that for the period of October to December 2014 Tribunals received 12% fewer claims than the same period in 2013.
What’s new?
Tribunals are still receiving low levels of claims. The Ministry of Justice statistics for July to September 2015 show similar low numbers of new claims being brought as the previous quarter.
However, the statistics are more revealing when analysing the number of claims which actually get heard at, and decided by, the Tribunal. In fact there has been a drop of 39% compared to the same period of 2014. Tribunals only made a decision on 9,157 claims and this is the lowest number since the statistics were first published in 2009.
