It’s December and very nearly Christmas time again. Just before you finally wind down we’ve got more employment law/HR news for you to feast on before you’re tempted by tastier treats, presents and parties! Our 2015 Newsletters come to an end with a helping hand on how to manage a workplace full of the Christmas spirit, Government guidance on transgender employees and TUC guidance on surrogate parents’ workplace rights.
Our final case update of the year includes a look at two cases involving disability discrimination. The first involving a failure to make reasonable adjustments by requiring attendance at a competitive interview: the second relating to the provision of a reference referring to length of absence and withdrawal of a job offer as a result. We finish with a case which expands the definition of redundancy for collective consultation purposes.
