Keep on your radar: Beware dismissing employees with less than 2 years service!

We are dealing with a host of cases currently for clients where they’ve dismissed an employee with less than 2 years service yet have still found themselves with a Tribunal claim.  So, be mindful of the possible claims beyond unfair dismissal:

  • Automatic unfair dismissal
  • Unlawful discrimination
  • Breach of contract

We recommend that where possible you consider following a full and fair process even if your employee has less than 2 years service.
