1. Safe Workplace: A toolkit (available here) has been published to help employers create a safe workplace for employees to return to when offices re-open.
The toolkit has been compiled by the Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM), with input from several national organisations including ACAS, CIPD and MIND.
The toolkit complies with the directions and advice from the Government, Health and Safety Executive, and Public Health England and provides advice, guidance and links to other resources. It is intended that will help employers manage risks in reopening workplaces, and to understand and comply with legal obligations.
2. Well-being guidance: ACAS has published guidance (available here) on coronavirus (COVID-19) and the impact it is having on workers’ mental wellbeing.
The guidance covers individual mental health, supporting other staff members’ mental health and managing workplace mental health for employees. It also includes links to external resources aimed at supporting mental health during the pandemic.
